SCRIPTURE: 1 Kings 12 and 14 records the division and Rehoboam’s reign. 2 Chronicles 10–12 adds Judah’s humbling, Shemaiah’s word, and the statement that Rehoboam did evil because he did not prepare his heart to seek the LORD.
