A reign with movement
Asa’s story includes reform, seeking the LORD, conflict, prophetic words, and later choices. Azariah son of Oded tells Asa and Judah that if they seek the LORD, He will be found by them. Asa takes courage, removes idols, repairs the altar, and gathers the people to seek the LORD.

The later contrast
When Baasha fortifies Ramah, Asa sends treasure to Ben-Hadad of Syria. The study keeps the earlier seeking and the later reliance together. A reign can contain both faithfulness and failure.
